As I mentioned above, I started this website because I felt there wasn’t something out there that provided Celtic Design Tattoos together with the meaning or symbolism behind celtic art (e.g. the Symbolism, Origin, or Meaning of Celtic Knot Tattoo designs, be they designs of animals, plants, people or otherwise).

In other words, I felt there was a need for a one-stop-shop, if you will, of Celtic tattoo designs and their background to enable you and yours to choose a design that has meaning for you. So I decided, why not produce it yourself? So I did!

Growing up in Ireland, I learned many stories from Celtic history and mythology (stories like Fionn MacCumhail & the Salmon of Knowledge, Cúchulainn & Ferdia, Oisín in Tír na nÓg (Land of Youth), and many more) which have inspired many Irish and Celtic artists work. There are also many inspirational examples of megalithic tombs, forts, crosses among other monuments scattered across Ireland. And this is just the tip of the Irish/Celtic design iceberg.
